The European Commission, in co-operation with ECHA the European Chemicals Agency, is organising a workshop to find solutions to REACH registration problems and to bring together SMEs and larger companies.
 
In view of the upcoming 2018 registration deadline for smaller tonnages (from 1 tonne to 10 tonnes per year), many small, medium and micro-sized enterprises will be involved and the Commission would like to hear from them.
 
The workshop scheduled for 10th and 11th December in Brussels will offer an opportunity for the small, medium and micro businesses in the front line to exchange experience and discuss with other REACH actors. Potential participants are encouraged to complete a survey to help set the agenda for this two-day event and indicate whether they wish to participate in the workshop. Real life examples of registration problems are also being sought, e.g. malfunctioning of the Substance Exchange Information Forums (SIEFs). The Commission needs your help and will make sure that contributions will remain confidential.
 
Due to the limited capacity of the room, only 50 participants will be selected to participate in the workshop. The selection process aims to ensure a fair representation of stakeholders. Travel expenses and accommodation of SME participants will be reimbursed.
